Fusion is the cleanest natural application of Hydrogen in my opinion… I don’t know about Boron, but the sun burns Hydrogen and produces Helium…

what could be more elegant, since Helium is a Noble Gas, non toxic, non reactive

We pray for a Fusion Breakthrough every day, but will this help the floundering “Great Hulking American Neanderthal, spawn for over two hundred years of force feeding by the corporatists, capitalists for the express purpose of exploiting the easy riches of America? His great weight and strength, his high calorie consumption for energy has been replaced in industry with hydraulic arms, electro-mechanical computer driven devices,his home in the ‘burbs rendered impractical by high gasoline prices, and his mediocre attempts at schooling himself rated as 32nd in the world by his President’s own admission! He cannot survive the modern world as the Asians do, and needs the “Smoke Stack Era” for his very survival! Even rapid development and great breakthroughs in fusion will not save him and he will die and anachronism in his own time, on the soup lines, or “culled” by the American Medical Cartel, to die from lack of proper medical treatment, his only crime disenfranchisement by unemployment, by the “Evil Empire” we have become! No bones bigger than his found in all antiquity, no heat stronger! He won WWII and is now forgotten. America, we hope you never live to regret your callousness these end-time days of your Empire, built on this giant’s kind broad shoulders.

While Focus Fusion has some funding, enough to move ahead with its proof-of-concept experiments (since 2008/11), I have seen no info on the UoF initiative since 1998. What is actually going on there? That’s 10 years with no news.
