Shifting Awareness

The laws of nature are evolving, which is part of the cycle of evolution. So be the great attractor that is change. Science would have us believe that the laws of nature are fixed. We all know that this is not true. There is not enough evidence to support Darwinism as the correct model. For example, there are no examples in the evolutionary model that explains the jump from invertebrate mollusks to vertebrate fish. No such creature exists! Where did the skeletons that fish have come from? There are no fossils of animal life that have their skeletal frame half in and half out of their flesh body. What rules are they teaching us?Are we bound by rules as a species, or by the agreements we make, by our intention and knowledge that is afforded us. Our resolve. Our resolve would ideally take the form of the recognition of the consciousness, the simple awareness of just being in all our doings. Of all things animate and inanimate. Which means we need to get back to first premises, the integrity of our thoughts, our intuition, and knowledge. Knowledge which remains the beneficiary of our collective will, of those who are yet to come and the simple truth that everything that we describe as energy, is in reality consciousness in transformation. That the greatest gifts we have are those of discernment, language and the ability to co-create.

We are part of the quantum field, the expression of life that has a super objective – Evolution. At the very least, this is the notion we have. A conclusion we have come to that not only makes a clear case of cultural memetics, but it also presents us with choice knowing this. It is the condition of awareness that we know as being human. The real struggle is not that of societal culture, that the collectivists would have us believe, but rather our acceptance of personal power – subculture. It is a battle of the natural self and the egocentric one world view of institutions that arrive at agreeable defintitions of what is palatable to them, a contruct of the social sciences that removes art from life and replaces art with controlling mechanisms that become the culture cycle meme. Culture then is a meme that is greater than the sum of its parts, yet dependent upon all of its parts to survive.

Culture Is Your Operating System : Terence McKenna

Terence McKenna and his idea of extropy is explained through the window of opportunity we can call novelty.

One of Terence McKenna’s most widely promulgated ideas is known as Novelty theory. It predicts the ebb and flow of novelty in the universe as an inherent quality of time. McKenna developed the theory in the mid 1970s after his experiences in the Amazon at La Chorrera led him to closely study the King Wen sequence of the I-Ching. Novelty theory involves ontology, extropy, and eschatology.

The theory proposes that the universe is an engine designed for the production and conservation of novelty. Novelty, in this context, can be thought of as newness, or extropy (a term coined by Max More meaning the opposite of entropy). According to McKenna, when novelty is graphed over time, a fractal waveform known as “timewave zero” or simply the “timewave” results. The graph shows at what time periods, but never at what locations, novelty increases or decreases.

Considered by some to represent a model of history’s most important events, the universal algorithm has also been extrapolated to be a model for future events. McKenna admitted to the expectation of a “singularity of novelty”, and that he and his colleagues projected many hundreds of years into the future to find when this singularity (runaway “newness” or extropy) could occur. The graph of extropy had many enormous fluctuations over the last 25,000 years, but amazingly, it hit an asymptote at exactly December 22, 2012. In other words, entropy (or habituation) no longer exists after that date. It is impossible to define that state. The technological singularity concept parallels this, only at a date roughly three decades later. According to leading expert Ray Kurzweil), another concept called cultural singularity (essentially cultural dissolution, or language dissolution), parallels this as well. Terence claimed to have no knowledge of the Mayan calendar, which ends one day before the Timewave graph does: December 21, 2012, this is likely to be true as Mckennas timewave theory, also known as “Time Wave Zero”, was published in The Invisible Landscape 12 years before the book which brought the Mayan calendar into public consciousness; José Argüelles’s The Mayan Factor.
